Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces linguine

  • 12 ounces cherry or grape tomatoes, divided or quartered if enormous

  • 1 onion, meagerly cut (around 2 cups)

  • 4 cloves garlic, meagerly cut

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper drops

  • 2 branches of basil, in addition to torn leaves for decorating

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, in addition to something else for serving

  • Coarse salt and newly ground pepper

  • 4 1/2 cups water

  • Newly ground Parmesan cheddar, for serving


Method:

Stage 1

  • Join pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, red pepper drops, basil, oil, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and water in a substantial straight-sided skillet. Heat to the point of boiling over high intensity. Bubble combination, blending and turning pasta often with utensils until pasta is still somewhat firm and water has almost dissipated around 9 minutes.


Stage 2

  • Season to taste with salt and pepper, split between 4 dishes, and enhancement with basil. Present with oil and Parmesan.
